I turned to the world of para-athletics for my recreation and in 2015 after my first race I was invited to compete in the Bedford International Games as an elite T36 female para-athlete.
I was ranked number 1 in the UK in the 100m, 200m and long jump, hold the British record for the long jump and ranked number 11 in the world during 2015 over 100m, 15th for the 200m and 2nd for the long jump. I was selected to represent England in the CPISRA World Games and won 3 gold medals in the events mentioned above. I was then invited to join the British Athletics Talent ID squad with a view to representing Team GB in Rio.
My MS though became increasingly aggressive. In October of 2015, it robbed me of my ability to run and jump and I had to eventually retire from athletics as a T36 athlete in early 2016.
